MINISTRY

Merriam Webster defines ministry as "a person or thing through which something is accomplished". In the church there are a lot of areas in which we can minister. What's amazing about ministry is that it is God's goals that get accomplished through ordinary people. Why does God need us to accomplish His goals? Obviously He doesn't. Rather He chooses to use us. That in itself is nothing short of amazing.

In my time at Madison Street, I have witnessed many ministries. It's always been through Godly men and women that we've seen success. God is not through with doing amazing things in His church. We have a wonderful staff that stand on the Word of God and provide wisdom and guidance that allow us to serve God.

My question to you is one that hopefully doesn't sting. Are you serving God and accomplishing something within the church? If not, it's never too late. If however you are involved in a ministry, do it with gladness knowing that God has chosen you to accomplish His goals.

I find it interesting that the Word of God is about...GOD. Yet, it is filled with people's names, their ages, what they did. It is about God but it is how God is glorified through people. Thank you for starting a blog that focuses on this. Throughout the Word of God whenever there was attack from people who didn't Worship the true God, all God's people did was find ways to glorify God more. This is our job--to glorify him more.

The fact that the Lord will allow us to have the priveledge to honor Him is amazing. Just think at how incredible it is to be able to praise and glorify the Lord. As Paul says we are to Glorify Him in all things, valleys or mountaintops!

Our purpose for existing and being Christians is to simply honor and glorify the Lord. How better to honor and glorify Him than to serve. I view this blog as one more tool to glorify the Lord. Thank you for the opportunity to show honor to the Lord through this blog and with our ability to highlight different ministries that are offered through our church.

I find it interesting the way God is blessing. The freedom we now have to worship, minister and serve. I know over the last year things have been difficult, but let me say that it is worth it now to see what is taking place! We are a church with doctrine, convictions, and accountability! I know that if one would search scripture they would find that what we HAVE BECOME is a CHURCH!

Amen to that. A church is to be responsible for taking care of their membership. Through in depth study of the Word of God we are being taught how to be accountable to Him through the church and what it means to understand doctrine. Thank you to our staff at MSBC who preach the Word of God and live it out on a daily basis.
